Our purpose is to develop ICS athletes holistically: physically, academically, and spiritually. As a department, we strive to foster character, servant leadership, and the development of life skills while providing a professional environment in Christian athletics.
The athletic program is designed to offer students opportunities to develop their physical skills and abilities as well as self-discipline and leadership potential.
ICS athletics compete in the Bangkok International Schools Athletic Conference (BISAC). The purpose of BISAC is to provide a well-rounded program of interscholastic athletics for member schools. This includes providing rules and regulations, promoting sportsmanship and providing an enjoyable program or all participants, spectators and supporters.
Athletics compete at the Under 13, 15,17, and 19 levels over three sport seasons. At the end of each season there is a tournament for each.
ICS currently offers basketball, soccer, softball, badminton, swimming, and volleyball throughout three seasons. ICS also runs an extensive intramural program that includes soccer, basketball, and various other sports.
All ICS athletic teams are based on a tryout system and dates are posted throughout the school about upcoming seasons. School athletics at ICS are designed to form teams to compete against other schools throughout Bangkok and South East Asia The Intramural Program at ICS is open to all students regardless of ability. The purpose of the intramural program at ICS is to give every student an opportunity to compete in athletic competitions at ICS.
"I hope the most memorable experience student athletes will have from participating in athletics at ICS is a sense of family. Wins and losses are important, but teaching these young men and women to love others as God loves them is my ultimate goal."
